Privacy Policy

MINDBUDDIES CONSULTANCY PRIVATE LIMITED ("MindBuddies", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mindbuddies.in, our appointments, and our live seminars and webinars, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you book an appointment, register for a seminar, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any optional details you choose to share, such as your city, age, preferred service, preferred date and time, and messages you send us.

Session information. During counselling or other one-on-one sessions, you may share personal and sensitive information about your health, emotions, or life circumstances. This is used only to provide your session and is kept confidential.

Payment information. Seminar payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a payment confirmation (such as an order ID, payment ID, amount, and status) but we do not see or store your full card, UPI, or bank details.

Usage information. When you visit our website, we and our analytics partners automatically collect information such as pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, referring website, and interactions with the site, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and confirm, schedule, or reschedule appointments;
  • register you for seminars, process payments and refunds, and send confirmations and joining links;
  • provide our services and keep records needed for your care;
  • send reminders and important updates about sessions you have booked;
  • send information about upcoming seminars and services, where you have agreed to receive it (you can opt out at any time);
  • understand how our website is used, measure our advertising, and improve our services;
  • meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand site usage, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show relevant ads on Meta platforms. These tools may set cookies and collect usage information as described above.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. Some parts of the website may not work as expected if cookies are disabled.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only where needed to run our services:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our payment provider (Razorpay), hosting and booking-system providers, video-conferencing platforms used for live sessions, and email or messaging services used to send confirmations;
  • Analytics and advertising partners (Google and Meta), as described in section 3;
  • Authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of you or others.

These providers may only use your information to provide services to us and are required to protect it.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, for tax and accounting records). When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct, complete, or update your information;
  • ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons;
  • withdraw consent you have given, such as for marketing messages;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
  • raise a grievance with us about how your data is handled.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@mindbuddies.in. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

8. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under 18. We collect information about a child only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, for example when they book a session on the child's behalf.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
